To the right of that page, there is a red flash video button. Click it, and the video should pop up.

Re: Democratic Senate Agenda News Conference(video)
Congress is expected to pass S-Chip before they tackle universal healthcare. I'm hoping they use the same logic for the Dream Act as a down payment on comprehensive immigration reform.

Re: Democratic Senate Agenda News Conference(video)
^ That makes me giddy!
From the press conference, here's the Senate agenda for the first part of the 6 week Senate work period. 1. 200 million acres of public wilderness preservation/new trails Tomnibus bill (in (dis)honor of Tom Coburn (R-OK) who had stymied this bill in the 110th Congress) - PASSED in the Senate. 2. Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act/Equal Pay for Equal Work bill (already passed the House) 3. S-Chip 4. Stimulus I'm liking this new 111th Congress; much more efficient in crushing Republican obstruction. I think I'm going to start a thread detailing the Senate agenda and what's been passed etc. |

^ Sen. Reid is a good man. I hope this year (preferably early) he can say to that young woman that he helped pass the Dream Act.
