Question Regarding DREAM Act Quailification
 

First of all, I would like to say that I am very happy and blessed to know about this forum and all of its supporters. You guys have done a tremendous job to DREAM Act.

Secondly, I have some questions about DREAM Act that I would like to know the answers from you.

I came to the USA in January 31st, 2004 when I was 14. I attended high school in September 2004 till June 2008. So that was about 4 years and I have earned my diploma. Then I moved to Texas in July 2008 and became a part time student in a community college. I completed one course and the course ended in December 2008.
The DREAM Act said that in order to qualify, one must live in the US for at least 5 years. I will live in the US for 5 years in 27 days but how can I obtain PROOF that I am LIVING in Texas for a month -the whole month of January,2009-when I am no longer go to a community college?
Please help me on this issue. Thank you very much!

I think dreamhippie summed it up very well. You can also use bills or any receipts that have your name and date to prove that you were here... if it comes to the point where you would REALLY need to prove that you were here during the time you were not in school. I work at a law firm and during cancelation of removal cases, this is what we submit to the court to prove that a client was in the US for "X" time period.
