I bought an Amtrak Ticket from DC to New Orleans Louisiana for this thursday,

OR, i just saw a new alternative, which is a chinatown bus from New York to Birmingham, Alabama, then amtrak or Greyhound to New Orleans.
And return in Amtrak/Greyhound from New Orleans to Alabama...

But if I add Chinatown to my plans, I have two options.

Take Chinatown from NY to DC,
GREYHOUND:
which transfers In Virginia, and Georgia... going...

Well I would be traveling From Penn Station, or perhaps from Newark NJ, I thought the checkpoints were closer to Upstate New York near the border.
