How do you buy a used car ?? what's on the pink slip (registration) and how do I get insurance (is it a requirement to register the car ?) . I only have an expired CA ID and Foreign Driver's license...

Can you just say you're a US Citizen and get away with it? My friend did just that while riding Greyhound and they just moved on and didn't even ask him to show proof.
