according to Miami Herald, its a non-immigrant visa that leads to permanent status. we don't have to leave the country when waiting in line for citizenship, which I assume means visa van be renewed...

I feel like I've worked hard for nothing. I'm not strong enough to endure this for however long it'll take to have it passed, and if it doesnt pass I wont have anything to lose.
