Yes, best bet would be craigslist and just rent a room. So people offer rooms in homes while others rent a room in apartments. I've been renting rooms for about 2 years now and I've had no problems....

It is, but I've read online that they recommend you run one on yourself beforehand.

I do have an iTin number... but it seems unlawful. How exactly would that work? Doesn't a background check say the name of the person it belongs to?

Need it for a job. Being in the limbo situation I'm in I can't provide the information for them to run one.
I guess they just need it to make sure I haven't done anything wrong.
