Some people in Cali got their approval less than 10 days after their biometrics... Vermont needs to hurry up!
I hope they approve lots of people starting tomorrow!

I just did a walk-in with a school ID and a birth certificate! They didn't question anything...

Wait, are you sure about this? It would save me a lot of trouble, but according to google & the USCIS website, we need a government id (even a foreign one)... Maybe they will make an exception for us?

Ok for now I think that my best option is to get a Washington ID and use that for the biometrics. Hopefully (if everything goes well), I will be able to apply for a passport with...

Yeah but my lawyer told me that you can't get your biometrics done with just a birth certificate... She said you need a government id or a passport, and i don't have either.

No, a company cannot sponsor you to get your green card (through the labor department), but you can work legally, get a SSN, and apply for a drivers license with an EAD (Work Permit).
