Since my passport is expired, I need to present my birth certificate. It'll be a good idea go also give your consular ID, but just to be on the safe side, turn in your birth certificate.

I really think all lawyers have the same knowledge when it comes to this... However, there are some that actors/actresses use and that really does make their fees more expensive.

I paid about $1500 for my lawyer +$465 for application and biometrics.

Basically, since it's our family lawyer for 5 years, he let us put in a down payment of $500 and I'll pay the rest every...

My lawyer said that if your passport is expired, then you need your birth certificate. If your passport is valid, you no longer need a birth certificate. Hope this helps.
