I just tried a walk in today 11/13/12 and was denied. The security guard looked at my letter and said "Your appointment isn't until December" and no matter how hard I tried he did not let me in....

Yeah you most definitely can. You just need to get your SSN first. Do you have that yet?

Did you have a hard time doing the walk in? How were you able to? Please give me as much detail as you can.
