Re: Using EAD as proof of ID

I knew someone would say that. It's a lot easier said than done. My entire life is built here in Arizona so to either pick up and move or leave it all behind is not as easy as one might think....

Re: Using EAD as proof of ID

I wish I could do that, but as I said in my original post, I live in Arizona and a DL or ID isn't possible at the moment.

Haha, thanks. I guess that's the simplest answer I could get.

Using EAD as proof of ID

I live in Arizona where we are currently not able to get a state license or ID if we have been approved for DACA. Does anyone know if the EAD can be used as a valid form of ID, primarily to show...

Re: AUGUST: Finally Approved!!!

Thank you guys! I'd like to say the wait was easy, but then I'd be lying. So I'll say that it was horribly unbearable somewhere in the middle, especially when my sister was approved two weeks ago and...

AUGUST: Finally Approved!!!

So I finally got the good news today that both my applications were approved. I could not be happier. I literally jumped out of my seat the moment I read the message. Seems like it took forever, and...

Re: For those approved already with 2 last names... but only used 1 for DACA

Most of the people I meet don't even know what my real name is, since I introduce myself with a nickname that I've had for the past 9 years, haha.

Re: For those approved already with 2 last names... but only used 1 for DACA

Just because you have two last names doesn't mean you have to say them when you meet someone. I never even use my middle name, most of the people in my life don't even know what it is, but they were...

Re: For those approved already with 2 last names... but only used 1 for DACA

Guess I just don't see the big deal in keeping my maternal last name. So what if that's not the norm here in the U.S.? I don't mind writing out all 28 letters of my complete name. I like to write...

Re: For those approved already with 2 last names... but only used 1 for DACA

Why is everyone so desperate to get rid of their maternal last name?

I'll admit I've thought about it myself but the more I did, the more ridiculous I thought it was. Why would I want to get rid...

Re: Not at home in Mexico. The story.

I can't imagine those two years he was a bad kid were enough of a reason to get him deported, especially so long after the fact.

He seems to be in really good spirits. I hope he continues that way...

Re: Phoenix, AZ -Biometric Appointment

I attempted a walk-in today. Arrived at the office around 3:15. It was completely empty, except for maybe two persons in the waiting room. Walked in to about six security guards sitting and chatting....
