haha yeah it's up to date. I think gettin a passport is a bigger hassle I'm gonna use my birth certificate instead.

But I might need to apply for some loans/grants. Maybe I'm not well informed but don't i need the SSN to apply to college? Maybe it's just for FAFSA. I'm applying with a mentor and she's guiding me...

for now im just gonna send my application with just my school ID and then file for the passport on the side. I can't really waste time now since I'm applying for colleges soon.

Thank you! I think I'm going to send in my application with my school ID pictures and apply for the passport separately. This way if they ask for it at the biometrics appointment I can come in with...

Thanks! How rigorous is the biometric process? Have you been through it at all? Or are you not allowed to speak of it? Does anyone have an idea of how long it takes to get a passport?

So what you're saying is that a school issued ID would not be sufficient for the biometrics? If I send in the application and then apply for a passport so as to have it ready for the biometrics...
