Also, may I ask how much you paid your lawyer? I've done the case myself so I didn't have to pay anyone, by a couple of my friend's told me that their family members paid over $1500 in lawyer fees...

You should just go there as a "walk-in" and get your biometrics done. Walk-ins are allowed and many people have taken advantage of that opportunity, and benefited by their case being sped up.
