but it will make sense if DACA recipients could adjust their status through H1b in the US and become legal without having to leave the country which will trigger 10 year ban no?

Wedding, work, family stuff...
Didn't have time! Also, past renewals took max 2 months so I took my sweet ass time.
Perhaps too much but it all worked out.

DACA was approved today as well.

If you arrived here and never left then put in the same I94 number you used when you initially applied for DACA. You do not have to submit an actual I94 as USCIS never directed to do so for renewal...
