Actually, its rather safe. I drive and see border patrol everywhere and the only way they can stop you is if were walking beside the Highway. I even have conversations with them. The problem here...

Thanks for the replies. They give me more motivation to keep myself hopefull. Just trying to write that post was painful, but worth it. Hopefully I'll start getting more involved in the community
