Go to the SSCC personally and ask to see if your documents have been verified, if not, call USCIS. If they have been verified, they should give you a receipt with your number on it which you can use...

Same here. Just leave it until you register for classes. once you do, it'll say like $8000, then, around Jan 13th, it should kick in and go down to like the normal $3000 in-state.

You can apply for FAFSA in order to be eligible for certain private scholarships and grants and stuff, but you won't be eligible for any sort of FinAid.

Yes ^ And if you are under 18, you can use a high school ID. They can't ask for anything else if you're underage. At 18+, just an EAD is fine or just a passport.

Try it. Go to the college's Business Office or whomever is in charge of their residency, and ask. If they say everything is fine, apply and go to CC.

And remember, FIU is always an option! It's not a bad school at all, just relatively new. If all else fails, FIU is a for sure way of getting an undergrad!

Hmmm, but for us Dreamers, isn't CC still worth a butt load of money? I'm doing housing and the spring tuition at around $7700 which my local CC charges for just two classes.

Yeah, immigration is supposed to send your info to SS so they can clear you for a SSC. If you go before the 10 days after receiving your EAD, they will have to request verification.
