You can apply to visit your aunt if she's having a medical treatment or to visit your cousin's grave. You can also volunteer w/ a charitable org that works in Mexico.

Congrats on finding your birth family. IMO, you have an excellent case for humanitarian AP. Copies of your adoption docs, a letter from her doctor confirming the surgery, plus a good letter by you...

You're welcome. I'd warn against calling. At best you're talking to low-level people (even if you request a level 2 rep) who have no direct involvement with your case. Also, it's only been a week.

I check in here often for educational AP stories but they're scarce. Luckily, member Winterfresh went to study in Germany with educational AP. His initial thread after approval is here...
