A lot of the recent denial cases are from applications submitted many months ago. Denials take longer to process then approved cases. Most people are not flat out denied. They get RFE'd and NOID one...

I think you might be stuck in the FBI name check . It happens to people. They have the same name or similar to that of a bad guy. That requires more review to make sure you are not that person....
