What Demise said. Moreover. Don’t all DACA recipients can apply for REALID in all states? This is the case at least in NJ, NYC, CT, and PA.

Never do that! Always send a year before you expiration, those 5 months that you will lose is nothing compared to the anguish of waiting for your renewal.

an alternative would be getting a ROTH IRA or regular IRA. Any DACA recipient can get one of those.

You can apply for adjustment of status. The one difference would be how you entered the country, if you entered without inspection then you are better off getting advanced parole to go somewhere...
