I am definitely interested. Currently I have three serious stories for this book project. All the participants have requested anonymity, and it will remain as such until they themselves decide to disclose themselves (a little redundant).
So, if you are concerned about exposure, it won't happen. Your anonymity is guaranteed. I have participants who haven't disclosed any information about themselves to me. I respect that.

I'm not sure if anybody here has read the book, Freedom Writers. The idea here is similar. The main concept is a recollection of personal stories regarding the struggle of kids who have grown up in America yet cannot fulfill their potential as Americans that they are, in mind, heart and soul.

Yes, major media outlets are hard to 'recruit'. Ethnic media outlets tend to be more agreeable to immigration, dream act, cir. However, in the internet age, projects like these don't need to be necessarily taken on initially by the large media/publishing outlets. This can be as simple as printing out and mailing to senators/congressman. A web page with the stories can be put up rather quickly. Anything is pretty much is as good as the people behind it. I feel very passionate about this and am willing to work to accomplish it.

Rambling aside, I'm still up for helping out in whatever way I can. I've been actively reading the board here and contributing my two cents.

By the way, I am still looking for anyone who is willing to share their story about their struggles currently. If you are interested just send me a PM.
