Seriously guys, there's no need for hysteria. She can definitely be persuaded to our side and she's already moved to support gay marriage, an issue that is at least as controversial as immigration:

She has a "moderate" reputation for her pro-gun stance -- but is more or less a down-the-line liberal Democrat; the gun position draws her some flack on her left flank to the same degree that it protects her right and strengthens her upstate. But she assured the state's leading gay rights group yesterday that she backs same-sex marriage, and shows no other conservative leanings.
Total bummer that we have to worry about the NY vote, but we can definitely work hard and get her support for both CIR and Dream.

Cuomo or Kennedy would have been 1000% better though.
