There's no rule saying you can't fight for both Dream and CIR. Just like health care advocates fight for both S-CHIP and universal health care, we can fight for both Dream and CIR. After all, most Dreamies probably have family members that can be helped by CIR.

Dream can give momentum to CIR and show that an immigration victory can be won. That was one of the arguments used against Dream when they kept saying because CIR failed, people don't want amnesty etc. etc. and Dream is amnesty too. The energy from a victory can be used as momentum for the next fight.
