...did you guys notice how in the clip it said he "came here" with his mother instead of stating that he was "brought here" by his mother?

I know it's a technicality but it makes a difference. If you "come" over somewhere it implies action and thought of your own. If you are "brought" somewhere it implies an action of someone else.
