Obama is "delaying" because it's the best way to pass immigration reform? Now Ruben Navarette is a republican? LMAO!! I've heard some whoppers, but this makes the cream of the crop!
First it was dem didn't control congress; didn't set agenda; public wasn't ready; election fears....help me out here people...I'm sure there's more. Now it's "the economy" "it's not the right time" "not enough votes" "we want a bipartisan bill"
Rham Emanuel said after the elections (do a google search) something that was very telling. He said Obama wouldn't address immigration reform UNTIL his SECOND ADMINISTRATION. Obama himself voted to sunset guest worker provisions in 2007 effectively killing that CIR bill. If you don't want to deal with a problem, you pack your schedule with everything you can imagine, give non answers about CIR, and stick with "we'll begin discussions THIS year."

It won't happen this year. Not next year. And 2011 is a stretch at best- it'll be primary season. Some of you seriously need to stop drinking the coolade.
