For you who are still thinking about sending a letter to the White House, PLEASE just do it! The closing slogan PLEASE PASS THE DREAM ACT sounds good to me. Maybe just 3 paragraphs: MY PAST--share where you came from (and how old you were) and why your family came to this country. Help legislators get to know you a bit. MY PRESENT--what's going on now, how you've achieved so much in your schooling, how hard you work, involvement in your community, how hard it is to not feel secure living here, what fears you feel right now. MY FUTURE--what you dream of accomplishing, your goals and having this country as your permanent home. You ARE the generation that can end the cycle of hiding in the shadows, and you have so much to give! My father never went to high school; he would be so proud of the dignity you carry with you in this journey into the light of your own full pursuit of happiness as citizens of America.
