Isn't the point of winning the election and having a seat in Congress, to have a majority and pretty much being able to pass laws that go along with the ideologiy of your party? What if the Dems. had 75 seats? Would they still be saying "Well we need a few Reps because ****?" If people in like Alabama don't want CIR that's their problem. The point of a centralized government with state representation is that you get a vote but that's it; if the rest of the country wants something else that's that. We already had a Civil War about this kind of representation and we know how that turned out for the South.
