I think the problem is that Hayworth is running on a platform harping on McCain about his supposed "McCain-Obama Amnesty Plan." I am not sure what Hayworth means by that other than to try to associate--illogically considering the presidential election--McCain with Obama's as yet hollow promises to do something on immigration. To prove his spurs as a conservative, McCain is grasping at straws to try to out-right the right wing of his party. The sad thing is that he is just sowing hatred against immigrants in Arizona, but the aim of gaining support on the far right will be a failed endeavor: anybody who would vote for Hayworth, is not going to support McCain anyway, because they will believe the illogic of a supposed "McCain-Obama Amnesty Plan," even if McCain came out tomorrow and announced his version of immigration reform was to deport everybody.

Or maybe I am reading between the lines, and he really is just becoming senile.
