Hi guys. As much I think this speech is all political, I have a hard time trusting "Karl Rove", the former "advisor" of George Bush with ANYTHING he has to say about Obama. While he says that Obama is trying to court Latinos, by saying that, he is too, or at least trying to deter latinos. I honestly think Obama does want immigration reform, but he has a lot against him. So he really does need to get these speeches in. He has a low approval rating and we all know that. This is hard for him cuz as much as he wants this bill passed, he has to make sure he doesn't get too many angry in the process. If he does it will hurt him and his future, and us in the inadvertently. And I think he is on the right I mean look at the hate he has against him. These tea parties, who I think are largely racists, and the people on Faux News spitting rage at him every chance they get. Its ridiculous!!!! I really hope with all he has against him, people do vote democratic, even though that wont happen most likely, cuz that we need all the people we can if we even want a shot at getting the DREAM passed since republicans are full of sh!t and are doing everything in their power to see him fail.
McCain who seemed to be on our side a few years ago, is now a supporter of the arizona law which discriminates against immigrants.
And also about latinos, he does need every one he can. Because he has to get to the heart of the people who he think he has a chance with. Remember Cubans are largely republicans.
With that said, I will try to wake up early to hear his speech. hopefully there's something in it for me. I just wish they would focus more on the DREAM than total immigration reform.
