Sen. Webb says affirmative action must end because the "plethora of government-enforced diversity policies have marginalized many white workers. The time has come to cease the false arguments and allow every American the benefit of a fair chance at the future."

Immigrants from Asia, Latin America and Africa in recent decades knew no such discrimination from the government, he wrote, "and in fact have frequently been the beneficiaries of special government programs. The same cannot be said of many hardworking white Americans, including those whose roots in America go back more than 200 years."

Such programs should end, Webb concluded, except for "our continuing obligation to assist those African-Americans still in need.


Did Mr. Webb ever thought that Americans who have roots in USA for over 200 years simply cannot get up to date with technology and modern world reality? Does he know that majority of Government welfare and other benefits are collected by whites with 200 year roots? They listen to Sarah Palin and such and believe to all nonsense coming out her mouth. Any person in his right mind will never listen Palin's schizophrenia. And all white people have exactly same fair and even chances that immigrants have. On top of that, English is their first language. They just don't use their opportunities. If some kid, no matter the race, cannot pass SAT and such he is just stupid. Plain and simple.
Look at NYC. Wall Street and majority of financial and management jobs are occupied by whites from all over America. Nobody denied them from obtaining education and their jobs. No immigrant took their jobs. There are some immigrants in those fields but whites prevail. EVERYONE has fair and even chance in USA. If immigrant gets hired vs US citizen with 200 year roots, then immigrant is just better suited for the job.

Mr. Webb reminds me of Palin and other crazies. Nonsense talk to appeal to aging population with 200 year old roots that lost touch with modern world reality. Mr. Webb seem to fit the category...
