Technically it was the Federal Judge that blocked the most controversial parts of the Arizona Bill (yes I know the Justice Department of the Obama Administration was the party that challenged that Bill in court). However, maybe if he had kept his word about dealing with Immigration Reform in the "first 100 days" of office then such Bills as the one in Arizona would've never seen the light of day. I appreciate his support for a pathway to legalization for the undocumented but to be honest, speeches are just not working for me, sorry.

If he made more and longer appearances around Lousiana during the oil spill and pushed scientists to help with the effort then people might listen to him better, as well as speaking in the senate when they were considering the DoD bill with the DADT and the DA attached then people might have a better view on him and listen to what he has to say more favorably. What I don't get, and this was also present with Bush, is how presidents decide to spend so much time vacationing, and playing around, specially when there is a war elsewhere and their policies are not passing, I would think they would work harder under such circumstances.
