I know this is probably nothing new but the article does mention a couple of good points:

1) on November 10 there was a conference call between Dems and Reps in which they both acknowledge the impact of the latino vote. and Dream Act and AgJobs were at the center of the discussion

2) Reid talk about not including the DA in the defense authorization bill during the lame duck also " BOTH PARTIES AGREED" that it had better chances of passing as a STAND ALONE.

The second point reinforces what reid promised another democrat, somewhere in the news room posted the link, that DA will not be included in the DAB.

To conclude, that means that dream act might be stand alone, which i think it is very good news since even mccain said that the DA has its own merits.
