those guys... i am still unsure what happened....
Reid introduces the DREAM Act Wednesday morning, and thursday morning it seems as if they are starting discussions on immigration and the DREAM Act and I leave to have breakfast, return to see CSPAN2 half a hour later and they don't stop talking about the bush tax cuts. When they finish they give a summary of what was covered and on the agenda appears first on the list the bush tax cuts, nothing about what was supposed to be discussed, so it seems like the republicans tactic with the letter worked to bring their offer up, i just hope that their act of holding the poor and middle class hostage which is what the democrats tried to sell the entire time, really pans off and the public starts to realize what's going on. They eliminated unemployment benefits because they did not want to come up with $56 billion because they want to decrease the deficit, but then they turn around and want to give $700 billion to people that make more then 250k per year and money that will be borrowed from overseas.
sorry for the rant, I am also astonished by the republicans action on that, I can't believe how people could vote them into office if they know what was going on.
either way... I just hope they don't take a couple of weeks trying to pass this piece of legislation. But they took 4 days, 4 senate sessions to pass the FDA bill, and that worries me.
