Reid said today there leaving on 12/17 for the Christmas. Republicans have told Reid they will work on nothing other than Tax cuts that expire 1/1 which is the most important thing to this country, the second item is a bill to extend funds to keep the government funded for another month. Because if they don't taxes will go up for every family which would make the democrats look horrible seeing that means a family making 50k a year together would pay and additional 3k in taxes this year. And as shown by the votes today on all Tax legislation the parties are both standing there ground the republicans voted down every Tax bill. Republicans want to work on those two items and go into the new senate that is all there going to do before next year. Dream Act, Dont ask dont tell, extension of unemployment benefits will be left for the new congress.
