I may wanna borrow your crystal ball

It is not only for what he said, but Reid and Democrats in general are pissed off because they started the lame-duck session with an ambitious agenda and they haven't been able to get anything done the way they wanted... For political reasons they MUST pass as much of the Democratic agenda as possible. Also, I think that some of the 'on-the-fence' Sentors would vote for cloture if threatened with staying in D.C. For the holidays.
