I really hate how people can have a "word" when they don't know about the political climate out there. If we want to have a chance at passing anything, we have to keep ourselves educated in what the issues are. You follow a leader expecting the best, but when he fails to deliver (mostly because the other side wants him to fail), you ditch him dry. He still has two years which can well be used for our big push. This country is undergoing some major change, of course, you won't see it because all that matters to you is one issue. Next year we are going to take our protests to the streets. Not only advocating for the Dream Act, but for a CIR.
There is really something wrong with this forum. I started noticing it when they placed the age cap at 30. We became humans and started going against each other. I have plans to advocate for both DA and CIR in this upcoming 2011 and I'm planning to make a website where this won't happen.

This completely, I think we have focused way too much on our benefits while not letting the community know that there are other things we care about. We need to start organizing and funding ourselves to be what we know are to the public. Whatever it maybe, fundraisers, charity work, informing the immigration community of various laws not just immigration reform. These kinds of things will get us noticed and get us more light than Sen. Durbin introducing us as just "some smart kids" (no offense) we can't expect the Senators to defend us, we have to defend ourselves. While calling and faxing helped a bit, we need to help the community.
