Sheriff Adrian Garcia on Monday introduced a 13-member citizens panel to advise him on how illegal immigrants are screened in Harris County jails.

The advisory committee will not debate whether to continue the screening program, Garcia said. It will suggest ways he can improve the 287(g) program, which deputizes county jailers to assume some federal immigration enforcement functions

If the state is going to cut your funds if you do not enforce immigration laws guess what that Hispanic police chief will do? Put illegals in jail. Houston was the largest Sanctuary city in Texas. Not just from Mexico from Tanga kenya from all over the place.
