I have mixed feelings about this...
She technically IS betraying her race, which is like a slap to the face to the Latinos that voted for her but like it says in the text "law enforcement working for state agencies will continue to be barred from asking about the immigration status of someone who is a crime victim, a witness to a crime or seeking police assistance." So, unless you go around raping and killing people...you "should" be fine. Of course, it all depends on the actual officer because a broken tail light might end up being your ticket out of the country.
I personally have no soft spot for rapists or anything of that sort.... Illegal or not. If you're doing that shit, you deserve to be kicked out.
So in other words, if this that she is doing could be enforced like it's supposed to, and be only used to catch REAL criminals, I don't see why not. But of course, just like sb1070 this would undoubtedly get out of hand and would be an undercover tool for state officials to enforce immigration laws.
