Maybe he'll be more free to do whatever he desires in his second term because obviously there is not going to be a third term? There is no doubt he is going to use immigration as a tool to help him win in 2012. Question is, is he daring enough to actually get the bill passed before 2012? The interesting thing here is that if there is no bill, Republicans will be blamed for it and they will suffer huge losses in 2012 election. So, my guess here is that Obama actually doesn't want to accomplish CIR before the election so there is a backlash against Republicans. Arghhhh this is complicated.

It's sad because the Dreamers with their extrememely limited power have put in way more effort into pushing for this immigration issue than Obama himself and that's really sad.
It's obvious to me that neither the CIR nor the Dream Act can pass both Houses, secondly, Obama won't sign some kind of temporary order that can at least protect the Dreamers of good behavior that have stayed out of trouble. I guess the game plan would be for Obama to ask the Latino and Immigrant community in general to vote the Democrats back into the majority in both Houses so that CIR and/or the Dream Act can pass. Deja vu anyone?
Yeah...sorry I'm not buying it, if he gets reelected in 2012 without making sure that either one of those two Bills pass before then, why would he then push for Immigration Reform after being reelected? He wouldn't bother with it at all, it'd mean that he got by on empty promises and people bought them.
Why doesn't Obama do what he did during the whole Budget ordeal a couple of weeks ago where he kept bringing the leaders of both parties together practically everyday UNTIL a deal was reached.
When he starts doing that, then I'll know he's serious, if not, he's just playing on the intelligence of the immigrant voters and apparently, it's working so far.
