DC "Education Not Deportation" Mobilization and DREAM Graduation!
CT Students for a Dream is travelling to DC! June 28-29th! Join us!
Cost is $10 - covers transportation, lodging and food!
We will leave Connecticut on the morning of June 28th (location TBA) and come back June 29th

Facebook event: http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=211400585565861

DREAMers are being deported all over the country. Currently, there are over 40 Dreamers in deportation proceedings. Here in CT, Mariano Cardoso, who came to this country at 22 months old, was put into deportation proceedings for being at the wrong place at the wrong time during a raid by ICE.

We demand that President Obama take action to End our Pain and stop the deportation of DREAM-eligible students. President Obama has the power to grant administrative relief to all Dreamers currently in deportation proceedings and to protect all DREAMers from deportation. However, despite all his promises and rhetoric, he has failed to take action to End our Pain and our family's Pain, and so everyday, youth who call this country home live in fear of being deported to a country they do not know.

It is time to take our fight to the national level!
We must hold our political leaders accountable!

Join CT Students for a DREAM in Washington DC to demand that President Obama listen to our concerns and take action to relieve our pain!
United We Dream is organizing a National two-day "Dream Act Day of Action" Mobilization in Washington DC on June 28-29th.

During the two days, CT Students for a DREAM will participate in a "Mock DREAM Graduation" ceremony. The Graduation Ceremony will highlight the "Deportation Class of 2011" - DREAMers currently in deportation proceedings from across the country. We will also attend the first EVER DREAM Act Senate Hearing. CT Students for a DREAM will also personally Lobby Senators and representatives.

The goals of this Mobilization will be:
*to get media attention for the DREAM Act,
*to raise awareness about the current on-going deportation of DREAMers and the dire need for Administrative Relief

Transportation, lodging and food will be taken care of during the two days. $10 covers all expenses!!
