I'm doing alright. I went to Coronofest tonght and saw Molotov. Thats a tough one though, I don't know what to tell you. I'm glad that I am here and I have a job, I feel like I have respect at my work and I kind of feel important which mean a lot to me. But on the same side, I'd rather be doing what I am doing now in the US because yes it is a first world country. But it really isn't that bad. You just have to take precautions here that you wouldn't in the US and have to be on your toes but so far, we have been very lucky and no problems. We had a great time tonight. But as far as Mexico City goes, I've been there and I will tell you I much prefer Puebla. In fact my favorite city so far has been Tlaxcala. I'm just not the big city type I guess.
But I digress. I don't know, you have to weigh all of the facts. You figure you can come here and be a professional and have dignity....thats the good things. But you are going to a country that isn't as rich as the US and there are more poor people out there and more risk...thats the bad thing. Possible dream act eventually passes, but in my best judgement I don't really think its gonna pass for another 4 years at least. If I had to bet money on it I would. There will eventually be immigration reform, but you have to figure that in my research, even though Latinos make up 16 percent of the population in 2010, they only made up 6.9 percent of the actual voters. I think its possible to delay this issue for many years though I am positive it will one day pass.
