But he is proposing a non-immigrant visa. Look it up it doesn't let us work, drive, and a few other things. We would be visitors meaning we are expected to leave so why would we get to work? or have a driver's license? if we are just gonna leave. The only way visitors drive here is because they have licenses from their original country. I'm not saying we can't drive, but we won't get a driver's license here.

I understand how you see it as a solution and a fair compromise now, but in the future will we really be able to be residents? and if so how long will it take? when I'm 60 0r sooner? because I'm hoping for less than 10, but that is a dream within itself. And that's just to be a resident let alone finally being a citizen. How long should I wait for that?

I understand how you think this has a likelier chance of passing because it will ease concerns, but lets look at the facts. Who is voting for it? Not the public. The house and the senate. Democrats and Republicans for short. So how much do you think this will ease concerns. It actually raises mine. Research the immigration system as it is today. Do you really want to gamble your future on the hands of that system? Which Rubio deems "broken". Seems to me he is just pulling on your heart strings.

I believe we shouldn't be held responsible for what our parents did, and I also believe we should not be handed amnesty. Which the current DREAM act addresses perfectly. And if it fails again we have Rubio's proposal to fall back on, but don't make Rubio's alternative your primary. Make it your alternative too.
