You halted scientific discovering and technology, saying crap like Earth is the center of the world, BS! As for me, i am a Hindu, and we have respect for other religions, unlike you b@stards that say Jesus is the only god. REALLY!? What selfish egoistic idiots. I'd ban your @sses from intefering with the important things in the world. Mainly, it's you and the Islam religion that have been no good at all in the world.

I did not mean to insult anyone here, anyways. Now, thesis of my story: dont get religion involved with politics, science, and all those important things that will decide the future of humans, etc. Don't end up like that b@stard Santorum. Thank-you.
You should delete this post. A friendly suggestion. It makes you look terrible, and you outrage religious groups here. If you want peace between religions just keep your mouth closed. You contradicted yourself by saying Hindus were peaceful, and tolerant of other religions yet you just bashed the most popular religions. I will delete my post when you respond to it, but I will try to enlighten you first. This may seem harsh, or it may not, but I don't mean to put you in your place or get revenge for what you said, give you a perspective your biased statement did not carry. I understand very little of Hinduism, but I have been friends with a Hindu for years and taken human world geography so yeah it came up. First of all don't blame Christian/Catholics for the hindrance of science. I agree religion and science don't belong together and hardly do they mix, but if the world was Hindu, where would we be in the progression of medical science? We would not be able to study animal genetics because they are reincarnated ancestors. Hypothetical. Again not to bash, but give you perspective. I understand there are some strict Islamic peoples and strict Christians, but that is what they choose to believe and so be it.

The most important question someone should ask themselves is what if what I believe in is not true? Play close attention to my wording here. NOT "wrong". I'm saying not "true" e.g. completely fabricated, man-made, fiction. Understand? The reason that question is important is because if you ask yourself that and really question your beliefs. Do your beliefs tell you to hurt people? Do your beliefs tell you to oppress people? Do your beliefs tell you to be evil? If you answered yes then you really should reconsider, but I'm more than a 99% sure you answered no. So then whats "wrong" with your beliefs? Absolutely nothing. What people should understand is that we need to believe in what makes us good, and not worry what another person believes unless it is actually evil. And without being Christian, Hindu, Muslim, or whatever we can all distinguish evil from good. This is my "Utopian Ideal" I suppose.

Now as for the history. A lot of people claim to know everything about something that is going on now because of what they judge from the history. All skeptics especially those against the Catholic religion claim that our religion(I'm Catholic by the way) is based on a conspiracy to make money and take over the world or something sinister like that. These skeptics truly believe by spreading all of that information they will by themselves erase the Catholic church. I mean seriously you should see some of these conspiracy videos, and read the comments. Then you feel like all of it is true, but if you investigate the source it is usually a pot smoker who has nothing better to do than smoke pot and hallucinate, or whatever it does to their mental abilities. So I'm here to tell you what the church is about, what it is based on, and why it has that history. Hopefully in few concise sentences. First the church is based on the bible, on the fact that we believe in God, the Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ. The church is about making people good and giving them moral fiber. The reason for the history, this goes for all Christians not just Catholics, people are given a moral skeleton in the bible the way they choose to interpret it, i.e. fill the skeleton with organs and muscles, is how they choose to exercise their power. We all know the ideals of peoples of the past were mostly wrong. Women aren't equal to men? Are you freaking kidding me?

So I hope you get the finer points of my lecture, and in no way do I want to influence you to change your beliefs. Catholics specifically are taught (at least as I learned it) not to force our religion on anyone, and if they ask tell them what they should know. I know the past doesn't correlate with what I just said, but in the past when a Hindu man died his wife dead or alive was allowed, sometimes forced into his cremation pit. Does that seem like something we should practice nowadays? So things change is what I'm saying.

The most important thing here is that there is a separation of church and state, and we should leave our religious beliefs out of it. If you want to start a thread for your religion go ahead, but this is not that thread. I know this all started with someone requesting we put our worries on faith, and did not intend this, but obviously the naysayers were going to have a rebuttal. If something doesn't pertain to you exercise the right to remain silent.
