"Now, going over to our friend on the other aisle, Obama..."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! That's a good one.

I warned eveyone that there were backroom deals, excuse me, "negotiations" to shelve any potential advancement of any immigration relief measure. Reid said the president promised him action early in his second term. Now, note that is Reid who has extracted the promise of action on our behalf, not Obama. It doesn't serve the Deporter-in-Chief's objectives. I think the reason Obama cannot issue an Executive Order as interim guidelines for relief from deportation while CIR is developed now is because he had his DOJ argue against it all the way up to the circuit court, saying that immigrants are bound by existing law, not by "future legislation nor speculation"

This is pretty significant because unless the cases are re-filed with the courts - at the expense of thousands of dollars to both immigrants and taxpayers- the administration has shot itself in the foot by arguing against "rootedness" as the basis for not pursuing deportation. Well, what immigrant living here for decades isn't rooted in America? What Dreamer growing up here isn't rooted in America? Rootedness is OUR argument and a legitimate one and the administration knows it.

Rootedness: The quality or state of having roots, especially of being firmly established, settled, or entrenched.

Now, maybe the super bright Obama campaign can come up with a formula that will allow us to "unroot" ourselves from America and American identity and then they can come back to court and say that you have no argument to stay in this country. Assholes.
