I also recall reading and hearing that both the STARS Act and ARMS Act were Senators Rivera's idea not Rubio's. That being said Rubio was coming up with his own little version of the Dream Act which he only mentioned very little of and that it would be revealed this summer. Okay, yea I get it coming up with a bill might take a lot longer than that. However, nothing was ever presented and once DACA was announced Rubio said he would not present his idea. This made me believe that the man never had anything and was just talking to appeal to voters. Also, I don't like the idea that it would not lead to a special pathway to citizenship. Why should we have to pay for the Amnesty Reagan signed back when he was President? That was Amnesty the DREAM Act is not.

As far as I know the DREAM Act does not allow that. Not even to petition our own parents.
He just like other politicians has also gone around criticizing the President saying that DACA is just a short term fix and that we need a long term fix. NO DUH?! That's why we need the DREAM Act. As far as Democrats not talking about bringing it up again well that's because they know it will be hopeless since they have absolutely no support from the other side and it's election year.
