Well, first you gotta remember that nobody has an "obligation" to help us. They don't. It'd be nice if they did but they don't.

Now that that's out of the way, the president had healthcare as his priority. Maybe it's because his mother died of cancer so it was something important to him. He's the president and that's his right. On the immigration front, sure he didn't do much for the first 3 years, but he also didn't make things worse.

He changed the policy to focus more on criminals than people not hurting anybody. The last guys made things worse. GW, started the whole Real ID business and the reason why many of us lost our driver's licenses. I want to blame the states for it, but if it wasn't for Real ID, they wouldn't have been pressured to do so. Even one of my favorite Presidents, Clinton screwed us over with the 1996 law that added the 10 year penalty and took away certain provisions to help readjust our status.

So could Obama have done more? Sure, but he is the president of the whole country and not just the Dreamers. Were there political pressures to do something like DACA? Yes, but he did something that nobody else had done. Do I wish it included me in it? Yes of course.

2nd term presidents get much more done usually.
