Okay first of all, there are three things wrong with this kind of alarmist news article

1. Almost all other polls despite PEW paint Obama with a comfortable two-four point victory, so as of now I'd suggest you view Pew as a an outlier.

2 . If we were to regard Pew's poll as reflecting a new electoral reality, then surely we should be expecting Romney towards carrying certain swing states such as Florida, Ohio, and Iowa. The reality? Obama is still up by three points in those states.

3. The next huge presidential debate is on foreign policy, which is Obama's battleground and strength, and what with Romney's neocon colors showing, I expect him to heavily lose. The American public is finished with Bush era intervention and ill thought military first grandstanding. Plus, Ryan and Biden show off in three days, I don't expect Ryan to carry it, and I expect Biden to really stick it towards Ryan in the debate.

Be calm and carry on. Obama 2012!
