I ended up not getting the ID and just the DL. The employee at the DMV office said not to waste money on getting both and that IDs were for "little kids" who aren't allowed to drive. In any case, I'm expecting my DL to arrive in the mail within a week and a half, per what the DMV told me. However, from reading on here, I'm hoping that my wait is about 9 days, if not shorter. If that's the case, then I should have it by this Friday. When it arrives, I truly hope that I have a 5 year expiration date on it.
