I think you have been misinformed. Last DA bill requirements were the same as DACA, now once granted temporary status, then the individual had the option to get an AA or 2 years in the armed forces(the minimum contract it's 4 years) after doing either one you are given a PR status then your years towards becoming a citizen start.
