Yup...I got screwed over by my mother's brother who sponsored her in the 80's, back when she would have been able to readjust her status easily and then right when her priority date was reaching, backed out. It set her back about 5 years when my brother became a citizen and sponsored her (which took only about a year and she still didn't have to leave the country thanks to another grandfathering law). That ended up setting me back another 5 years because a citizen parent sponsoring an over 21 child while long, is still shorter than a sibling.

It's just really sad that our only crime is getting too old. It's not my fault I'm here in the first place and it's not my fault I had the audacity to turn older than 21.
