The reason I'm asking this is because I applied for both, an ID and DL and in the papers I received from the DMV only one number is visible (ex: DL/ID: F340956) so when I want to check the status of my DL/ID in the DMV website I can only insert that one number for both ID/DL -which btw, its been almost a week since I applied and my information does not appear in the website, should I be concerned? or is this normal?-

As far as I know and Im sure of is that DL and ID both have the same #. So there is no difference in numbers for ID or DL. And If I were you Id call DMv tomorrow and ask them why is it not showing in their system. Ive seen that it says that transactions within the last 2 days may not reflect but a week? I dont think thats normal. I dont wanna scare you but it doesnt hurt to call them and make sure everything is ok. In my case I got ID a week before the DL and up until today it said both were processing. All of a sudden they both changed to mailed 1/8/2012. I thought that was weird but I was happy I finally saw a change in status. Good luck. Post an update as soon as you get one.
