Why don't they push for the Dream Act? According to various polls, people are more open to it then they were before. I really need a green card, not 8 years of legal status. You can't enlist in the military without a green card. You can't get financial aid without a green card and why shouldn't I be able to receive financial aid if I pay taxes like every other student who receives financial aid. Am I allowed to travel and come back if I have legal status? I know there isn't a lot of info about this yet but still.. legal status is great for people like my parents who really just need to work but for my sister and I to be able to enlist or continue our education, its not. Obviously, I'll be thankful with any change but I can't help but want more.
